Manaslu Circuit Trekking Overview
The Manaslu is the eighth-highest mountain in the world at 8,263m/26,781ft above sea level. This Manaslu peak is also called Kutang; it is in the Manaslu Himal, the western central part of Nepal. The real meaning of the Manaslu peak is “Mountain of the spirit”, which is derived from the Sanskrit word. Mountain Manaslu was first climbed by Toshio Imanishi and Gelzen Norbu from a Japanese expedition in 1956. Manaslu Circuit trekking is a tea-house trek. The Manaslu trek has all the elements of other treks in Nepal, including protected wildlife, raging rivers, rhododendron forest and wild flowers, precarious bridges, incredible mountain scenery and both Hindu and Buddhist culture. The Manaslu region is one of the most popular trekking regions in Nepal. The Region offers a variety of trekking options. In terms of difficulty, it is somewhat comparable with the Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Circuit trek because of highlight is undoubtedly the incredible views of Manaslu. The trekking trail follows an ancient salt trading route along the Bushi Gandaki River.
The Trek used to require camping as there were too few teahouses along the trail. Also, there is no lodge below Larkya La pass (5,135m) requiring an enforced night of camping. But these days, travellers are increasing, and small lodges in major places are being developed. This trek can be done either staying at a campsite or lodge without camping in this popular trekking area. And that the trek lies in a restricted area. That means it requires a special permit (i. The Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP) permit and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permit. The group should have a minimum of two members, and a registered trekking guide should accompany the group. So, for a reason, the trekkers in this region are fewer than other visiting the Annapurna, Everest and Langtang regions. The agency is necessary for arranging the permit, as an individual tourist is not allowed to do that. You need to arrange this trek through a registered trekking agency.
The people are mostly found in the Manaslu region from the Gurung and Sherpa cultures. The circuit around Manaslu Mountain takes 19 days to complete. The trek generally starts at Arughat, which is a 05-06 hour drive from Kathmandu by private or tourist bus. - The included itinerary is a guideline and standard pattern which Satori Adventures advises you. This trekking itinerary can be modified according to your time and requirements.
- The itinerary shall be changed after an understanding between both Satori Adventures and the client. Additional activities could be either added or reduced as per client's request before the confirmation of the trip.
- Price shall be adjusted in our mutual understanding, that is, if the client intends to add some services we shall charge him/her for those additional services and if he/she intends to lessen some services, we shall wave the charges accordingly.
- The itinerary is published in full board operation services for the clear understanding of the client. Among many options such as hotel facilities in Kathmandu and Pokhara, the client can make his/her own choice.
- The cost is also affected by the number of employees‒ guides and porters.

- Representatives of Satori adventures will be waiting for you on arrival at both domestic and international airports with a Satori banner with your placard so that you can easily find our person. Satori's identity card will accompany the person for your confirmation.
- According to the above trekking package schedule, Satori Adventures will arrange Three nights demanded category (from tourist star to five-star) of hotel accommodations in Kathmandu.
- Satori Adventures will provide Experienced and government authorized (licensed holder) high altitude trekking guide during the trekking period.
- Surface transportation will only be included during the trekking and major city for members as per the itinerary.
- Surface transportation from Kathmandu to Arughat and Besisahar to Kathmandu for all members and Involving trekking staffs as per the itinerary.
- Apart from Camping trekking, Satori Adventures Will provide you with a lovely tea house (except chain hotels) to stay in and eat during the trekking.

- Suppose you want to take any packed food, snacks, aerated drinks, energy drinks, mineral water, and carbonated soft drinks, any types of alcohol, cigarettes, chocolates, and nutria-bars during the trek. In that case, you have to buy it yourself as a customer often requires these items during the trekking. No, and there is no guessing how much it will take by the client and its cost.
- Expenses incurred towards usage of Items of personal nature trekking equipment, laundry expenses, tips, Landlines, mobiles, walkie-talkies, satellite phones, and the internet service exclude in the package. You have to pay for it yourself when you use it.
